Is SBI CLERK job tougher than IBPS CLERK job?

IELTS exam is conducted to check the language proficiency of candidates who wish to go abroad for studies or for a job. English being universal language is the only medium to communicate with foreigners therefore IELTS EXAM is conducted to analyze English language proficiency of the candidate. It involves speaking, listening and writing skills of English.
Writing skills are the most important skills to judge the language proficiency.  Therefore, students need a smart strategy to enhance their language skills to score well in IELTS exam.
To enhance writing skills, students are advised to follow the important tips which are given below: -

  1. Comprehend the promp
As a committed candidate, when you are writing for the Academic or General Test, or you’re on Task 1 or Task 2, it is important to understand precisely what the prompt is asking you to do. For instance, while writing a letter, you should be able to identify the register (formal or informal) and should also know about the acceptable salutations and closing of the letter. While writing an opinion essay, you should be able to identify both sides of the issues. If you are describing processes or graphs then you should first identify what the graph depicts and then try to identify the main trends and useful feature to compare. After making a proper mindset for the task, you can make an outline for your paper.
  1. Create an outline
It is advisable to make an outline before start writing. There might be some students who might argue over this as this is a timed test and so they should not spend precious time in making an outline. The outline is very important as it will save your time and keep you focused as you write. It will also help you not to deviate from the topic. Before you start writing, an outline will organize your ideas in a proper order. To be precise, a good outline means that you are focusing on language you are using (vocabulary and sentence structure) rather than the presented ideas in your writing.
Now, it is important to discuss about the detailing of the outline. In the introduction, the students should start by writing a thesis statement (Writing Task 2) or important points. The thesis statement should be considered to be driving force behind your entire essay and so every paragraph will relate back and support it effectively. For Writing Task 1, the students should organize the introduction in such a way that they can relate to the information asked through charts/graphs/diagrams (Academic Task 1) and also the purpose of writing the letter (General Task 1).
While writing the body paragraphs, the outline should only reflect the main topic for the paragraph, the evidence to be used. If appropriate (Task 2), you should also be able to show how the body paragraph is supporting your thesis statement. The conclusion is summary of your argument or restatement and so it is not necessary to write anything in the outline for your conclusion. The formal conclusion may or may not be necessary for letter writing (General Task 1).
  1. Begin with the best impression
During the outline stage, while organizing opinion essay, the students should determine the order in which they are going to present their ideas. The strongest body paragraph should come first. It will help in creating first impressions in the mind of reader. In this way, your reader will be left with good impressions of your essay.
  1. Simplicity in Ideas
In IELTS, clarity of idea is more counted to judge your smartness. Cohesiveness in the language is also required where structure of sentences and paragraphs need to be framed carefully and effectively. Always support your answer with some examples to make the idea understood by the reader.
  1. Spotlight on language rather than length
In IELTS Test, while writing a paragraph or sentence, the prime focus of students should be on language. There is no need to be more descriptive if the points are more and word limit is less as per the requirement. Put more emphasis on the language and points than to increase the length of the passage. Paragraph should have strong points in the body of the matter. Always use strong vocabulary with accuracy. It needs a regular touch of writing the already heard news or situations while doing the preparation for IELTS EXAM. Be familiar with cohesive words and phrases and use them quiet often to know them accurately. It will improve your writing skills. One can only impress the reader if the write up is clear, concise and includes cohesive arguments.
  1. Proofread your write-up
Always remember to spare some time to proofread what you have written so that there is no mistake or flaw in the language structure. Concentrate on the words used, their spellings and usage as it matters a lot. The ultimate parameters to award marks on language writing is usage and spellings which one can correct if he or she revises or proofreads it before submitting it to the examiner.
Hope these points will serve the purpose and you will be able to enhance your writing skills for IELTS exam.
